About 15 minutes, built for children who can't read yet. Every game talks, shows, and waits for little fingers.
About 15 minutes a day. Short enough to do before screen time, long enough to make a difference.
Three or four short games: feed Brian the bear four jars of honey, sort shapes into the box, pop the letter B balloons. Pip guides every step out loud.
The session ends on its own with a calm wind-down. No endless scrolling, no "one more" traps. You set the daily limit.
They earned minutes for other screens or a favourite show. You approve them from your phone. Learning first, then play, without the argument.
About 15 minutes, set to their level: a few times tables, a short story to read, five spelling words.

Every unit, term and grade your child finishes in Hootling becomes a milestone. Milestones will add a boost to your child's RESP, so time spent learning today helps pay for college or university later.
Founding families get the RESP boost first. We'll share exactly how it works and how much it adds as soon as the details are final.

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and you can get your money back.
What we collect on this page. Your email address, your child's age, and your child's first name if you choose to give it. Your child doesn't fill in anything; you do.
Why. To save your founding spot, to email you when Hootling opens, and to send occasional updates about the launch. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Who sees it. Only the Hootling team and the service that securely stores our sign-up list. We never sell or rent your information, and we never share it with sponsors, partners or advertisers.
How long we keep it. Until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe. If Hootling doesn't launch, we delete the whole list.
Inside the app. The app keeps only what it needs to work: a first name, age and learning progress for each child. There are no ads and no third-party tracking.
Questions or deletion requests. Email hello@playhootling.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
Reserving is free. Reserving a spot doesn't commit you to anything, and you can drop off the list at any time.
